Is there a way to tell Microsoft that Widelands is legit? Or is the Installation file on the server somehow infected? Best Regards Kai Top Quote

Does the Defender say why it thinks the installer is blocked? Some anti virus software find widelands suspicious probably because widelands make use of un/zipping of files. I would add a screenshot but it looks that this is not possible in the forum Top Quote

I've uploaded the installer to virustotal.com and afterwards just executed it. I'd assume that after some time and a couple of users installed it it will no longer be blocked by Microsoft Defender.
