The fix was merged yesterday, so you can switch back to the master branch now.

He's using a custom tribe so he'd need to adapt it first. Also master has an even bigger performance problem right now: #4253

Just a heads up for you MarkMcWire, the performance fix I posted might make the game less stable. If you get crashes you might need to go back to the regular Build 21.

I noticed it, once it crashed. It's still a significant improvement.

I'm also seeing a serious performance loss even on a relatively small map (EastWind Islands, 176x176, four players) after only a few hours, using the master from commit c3b1479. My system is pretty old Intel i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz, but it usually requires very large maps and economies before the game gets this slow.

Current master has several known regressions. If you want a stable game it's best to stick to Build 21 for now. Only use master if you want to help with testing. face-smile.png
