If so, please remove them (`sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:widelands-dev/widelands` and/or `sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:widelands-dev/widelands-daily`). Also make sure that no older version is around and causing trouble: `sudo apt-get remove widelands-data widelands` Then try `sudo apt-get install widelands` again. If it still doesn't work, try to use the Widelands stable PPA instead: `sudo add-apt-repository ppa:widelands-dev/widelands sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install widelands` Does any of this work for you? Could you try `sudo apt-get install fonts-dejavu-core fonts-dejavu-extra fonts-freefont-ttf fonts-hosny-amiri fonts-lklug-sinhala fonts-nakula fonts-wqy-microhei` and perhaps also take a look into the directory `/usr/share/games/widelands/data/i18n/fonts` to see which file(s) are present and which ones are missing. If nothing else works it would still be possible to manually download the missing TFFs somewhere and put them into `~/.widelands/i18n/fonts/<name>.tff`… Top Quote
