The current development version has much changes which i would love to see in a new official release face-smile.png

The main things from my perspective are:

  1. Different settings for sound
  2. Economy Target profiles
  3. Possibility to change the map size of a map
  4. Complete new main menu (needs some new graphics, but i think this is not a show stopper)

and of course all the other things (not all documented yet)

What do you think?

Current trunk has at least one very annoying bug regarding shipping items losing their destination when saveloading. This should really be fixed in a new release. I have a branch in review to rework the ship scheduling, but it´ll take some more time before it´s clean of bugs.

I would also love to see the ferries finally merged (preferably before a new feature freeze face-wink.png ), they´ve been in review on and off for over a year now.

There are also a few other high-importance bugs on our build-21 bug list which should probably be fixed. But once the list is shorter, why not?

Of course most of the merge proposals should be merged prior. And i know that we have a lot of open bugs for build21... this was the same for build20. There are a lot of bugs which are already shifted from one build to another build.

I just don't want to wait for another year to have a new official build. I guess we won't reach a new official release until the end of this year if we don't work toward it face-wink.png And i fear introducing new bugs with each new code change which we didn't encounter during testing.

And maybe we have a new tournament when we have a new official release face-grin.png

face-smile.png And/or another trunk tournament, even though it's a pity that their replays become rather unwatchable so quickly.

Not only shipping items, as far as I know, also items on roads/flags. Or has this bug already been fixed? I don't think so...

Having the new release soon would have a lot of advantages.

I have an idea for another economy tournament. Slightly different rules, but still building up alone.

If ferries would be merged into master branch, the tournament would also help with finding bugs (lots of wares & destinations, ships, ferries, all possibilities at once).

One of the things that is slowing down the ferries branch is savegame compatibility. I would like not to break it, but if we can live with it, we could consider it.

The transport saveloading bug really should be fixed. It is already present in Build 20, so it's not the end of the world if we can't fix it if we want a release soon, although it is very annoying.

I'd like to finish the spritemaps though so that we can reduce the download size and re-export the Frisian buildings.

Interesting!

I'd suggest to use not 12 and 24 h of game time, but 2 and 4 face-wink.png
