Widelands now already exists on launchpad https://launchpad.net/widelands so we only need to update that source repository and start working on it!

On the Wiki page I'm currently collecting things about Launchpad, together with SirVer's suggestion about a possible roadmap.

They offer quite a lot, some things I defined as "Must-Have" are not available, though, but that could be avoided. I'll have a more deeper look into that tonight, but I've not found a major problem regarding Launchpad yet. On the other hand, they seem to offer quite impressive services... (if they turn out as it is written, that is).

raistware: slow your horses. I will push our repository there asap.. but keeping it up to date with SVN and/or git is a hassle and merging something back from bzr into SVN or git is painful. So even if we get our repo there, it is maybe unwise to start working on it there face-wink.png

Cheers, !SirVer

They are paddling back... I guess, too late for a couple of projects. I've read some of them moved. And the current solution is not really a solution.

Most prominent example: Notepad++, Sourceforge.net Project of the Month February 2010, ponders moving to BerliOS if Sourceforge.net doesn't change it's policy. The project's boss, donho, is quite furious about that whole topic...

No change for us. This is a hacky workaround and still violates open source as an idea. We move on to launchpad on a slow and steady pace.

They really only move responsability to project team, cleaning his hands, and the US law can act against developers. Now for developers it is even worse!

Just wanted to let you people know that SF.net changed options to allow project admins to disable blocking.
