As far i understand nobody asks to change the game here, just to add an option.

I can imagine that some players wants to play a high speed game with widelands. It gives some thrill face-grin.png But i am in favor for the low-tech solution explained by GunChleoc in the first sentence.

I wonder if playing at 30x can lead into desyncs or lagging. E.g. with my machine and debug builds playing big maps can lead into stuttering the game. Don't know if this can be handled when playing online multiplayer.

It certainly won't do any harm if it is an option, provided we can find somebody who wants to spend the time on implementing it. @Worldsavior: is the low-tech solution good enough for now?

I think this just highlights the fact that one or two people seem to want to play a different game and try to bully devs into to creating the game they want.

No. You are such a person with your eccentric ideas to remove soldiers from the game, adding recycling and new types of workers to the established tribes plus many more buildings and so on.

By the way it's really not surprising that your profile picture looks like a troll

Many people are happy with standard speed and with games that take take many hours, or days, to finish.

I would suggest that if someone wants a combat game that is played at 30X then they should not be looking at widelands, which is supposed to be a slow paced economy building game.

Widelands works also fine with high pace and with other aspects than economy building.

If nobody here wants to implement new options for game speed control it's not a catastrophe.

I'm also wondering
