Sorry I couldn't participate - I had planned to, but then got sidetracked by bug fixing and stuff.

From my point of view you don't have to be sorry because you don't have to participate in tournaments, especially not in such an extreme tournament. face-smile.png

It would have been fun though face-wink.png

Then have fun face-wink.png

Also I have a question to all participants: what are your feelings about this type of the tournament? What can be changed? Maybe you have similar ideas like this? Do you want another tournament like that?

At least I can say that 12h/24h are too much. Maybe something like 2h/4h would be more attractive for a lot of people...

Well, highest soldier power could of course be achieved by only making level 3 soldiers, which are cheaper. I didn't try that, because playing a second time would be boring (actually I started a second game, but after like 3 hours I gave up).

So, for those huge values of power I was not really competing with worldsavior. I was only really competing for number of fully promoted soldiers, and I was only outdone by a 15%. I thinkk the theorical high value is aroound 10000 after 12 hours for high level soldiers and 30000 for low level soldiers. I would have been really surprised if worldsavior could significantly beat those values. that he did only mildly better than me says my approach was solid and my estimate correct.

The highest 15% of points are the hardest to achieve, while the lowest 15% are the easiest by far face-wink.png

Official announcement - end of the tournament

I am happy to say that the tournament is done. We had several participants and all the games were great! And what was at first not expected, we have only one winner:

WorldSavior

Congratulations to him!

Thank you all

And thanks a lot for organizing the tournament, Einstein!

Maybe we can have a similar tournament with wares? Or second carrier (count only second carriers in warehouses)? But the time has to be reduced, since 12 hrs could become very boring...

I was thinking about coal tournament on "Colonies - No coal" map version. But of course we can pick any of them. Colonies is just big and complex enough that 12 hours will not be enough to conquer all of it. face-wink.png And think about all of the places where the ships can go. face-smile.png

But for sure I am waiting for standard tournament player(s) vs. player(s), because this is the core tournament here. Maybe then we will see another WorldSavior (maybe WorldDestroyer? face-tongue.png )

I prefer the idea with the second carriers, I think it's on the same level like the "gaining military power points" of the last tournament.

I suggest to not pick "Colonies - No coal" but something like "Ice Wars"

Hello guys!

I told that I will update the topic. Unfortunately, due to my personal issues, I wasn't able to do so. So I have to say big sorry for two players who updated even better numbers to this tournament. Those players are: Carsten and WorldSavior. They didn't change their places in total numbers, but they did something significant! Congratulations both of you!

Einstein

No big problem

Thanks

Take your time. If you update this even later it's still better than updating it never.
