So, why have my fish breeder has stopped breeding fish. They say they're out of resources. They were working before. Top Quote |

I think the bottom line is that they need a field with at least some fish to breed new fish. So once all nearby fields are out of fish - no breeding can take place... Top Quote |

So whats the ratio of breeders to fisheries? Top Quote |

I am not expert on this, but 1:1 should be enough I believe... Top Quote |

1:1 has the risk of depleting. It will often deplete over time. I prefer to put 1 more breeder on any large group (say, i build along the coast a succession of breeder-fisher-breeder-fisher-breeder-fisher-breeder). 1:1 with the breeder closer to the coast so that it has less travel time and works faster should also be good enough. But with just 1:1, depleting fish is a real problem. Top Quote |

I had one to one with them being equal distance to water. Top Quote |

Another problem is you do not know how many fish were in the area before your started fishing/breeding. If the map maker placed fish in low numbers and spread unevenly then luck could work against you with 1:1 where 3:2 would work OK. Perhaps we should give the geologist another task, count the fish near the coast. Top Quote |

I have been toying with the idea that a fish-breeder would have a small (empty mine -grade) probability of succeeding in case of depleted water. Top Quote |

What I don't understand is that the fish-breeder cannot work on an empty field even if there is a non-empty field next to it. And I'm surprised that there is no fish-migration at all...

I like the idea. Maybe also fishers should have that? Wanted to save the world, then I got widetracked Top Quote |

+1 Technically it would probably need two distinct production programs, one as it is now, and second one looking for any water field.... with some proportion like 9:1 or so... Top Quote |
