Welcome to the forum and the development! I very much like them. I only have some remarks: The swirly background is a bit too repetitive and the grass is a little too green and could be a bit wilder (not so equally trimmed). I love the leader texture for the menu, though it doesn't currently fit any of the menus very well (in it's extensions). Also, you could try to push your stuff to launchpad if possible: This would make development and review easier. You can ask chuck or samithdisal for directions as they underwent the process recently. Yes, I have a lauchpad account (fraang). I will redo the background and add all xcf files. Should be ready tomorrow.

The update is very nice! I dislike the sunshine, the yellow taint is no improvement over the nice green one. And I'd prefer the grass and leafs to be a little darker green - they are currently frog green which looks a bit strange. One other thing is the "free open source buildup strategy game tag" which looks gorgeous, but can't be translated in other languages if it is in pictures. This basically means that it needs to be removed. The upload issue to launchpad: you need to register your ssh key and push your branch. You can find help on for the SSH key and pushing. Basically, the workflow is something like that Hopefully that makes sense, otherwise please call again ;). Cheers, Holger

If you specify the font/collor settings you used for the text we can work on including it in such a way it is translatable. It would (should) look exactly the same in english except widelands will draw font on top of the image later on. Edited: 2010-04-02, 14:09
