Hi HBLoxx, Well I am not sure about it, as I do not use ubuntu, however I would suggest you just have to start "widelands" so either Press ALT+F2 and in "start a program" enter "widelands" or open a terminal (console) and type "widelands" ENTER there. Cheers Top Quote |

Hi Nasenbaer, I tried it. Error-message is: bash: /usr/games/widelands: No such file or directory Strange thing is that the files are all in /usr/share/games/widelands/ Ok, after rethinking this, I think the main program to start widelands is missing in the ppa. I considered copying it manually out af the ppa but there is not widelands program in it. So new question: Where can I get this file from? Thank for helping! Edited: 2009-11-30, 11:31

I took just a quick view at https://launchpad.net/~gabriel-rota/+archive/ppa/+sourcepub/777140/+listing-archive-extra Seems to me, as if there are two packages: Widelands-data and Widelands. You obviously need those both installed and the later "widelands" contains the executable. Cheers Nasenbaer Top Quote |

Karmic is ONE of a lot releases of Ubuntu, which itself is just ONE of hundreds of different linux distributions. So in fact, if you do not use Karmic, you won't have use of the linked files. Top Quote |
