Hi,

i just discover Widelands (RC14) on ubuntu and i really like that game. I have done campaigns missions and now I'm playing into single player mode.

My problem is that opponents (in aggressive mode) are really not aggressive : they are not expanding there area and not building military buildings. Is it possible to improve there level? Or are they better on some maps? Welches?

Thank you your help

My best congratulation to developers

Hi Aneldo,

the computer player is quite basic at the moment, anyway, it should be able to expand, build up a basic economy and even attack you. Perhaps you simply had bad luck, so the computer deadlocked itself directly after start.

May I ask which map you played?

Cheers

Hi Nasenbaer, thank you for the answer,

I played on "war of the valleys" and oponents was on deadlock without stone in my opinion. They did not have expand their teritory.

On "two frontiere" map they had built a basic economy and expand their teritory a little bit but was not really agressiv.

On "comet island" they had been waited on their starting teritory.

But on "eleven forest", battles had been really interesting (against oponents and forest ;)). But oponents wasn't enouth agressiv to win : I stoped my attack at a critical moment to rebuilt my iron economy and they did not really attack me

On the map "the pass throught the montain" game was interesting too.

ps : sorry for my english

Sorry for the late reply:

seems the biggest problem is in most cases, that the AI runs out of wood too fast. I already changed the code a bit, so this problem should not appear that strongly again.

sorry what? face-grin.png - If you run a daily (svn) build, it's actually newer than Build14, as Build14 is already more than 2 months old face-wink.png

By the way: the computer is still sub optimal, but already a bit stronger than it was in Build14 and much stronger than it was in Build13 or before.
