Hello translators!

I have introduced a TranslationDictionary in the wiki. It should provide a help for you to translate frequently used words of Widelands (names of wares, workers, buildings and other words) in a consistent way.

For each language, there should be a Wiki page linked to this main page. I created the German and French one.
The dictionary consists of tables, where you can look up frequently used words, so that e.g. a certain building has always the same translation.
Of course, the tables have to be filled first in a wiki style face-smile.png That's some boring secretary work first, but I hope it helps to ameliorate the future translations.

Greetings,
Kristin

Hi translators!

I have created Czech Translation Dictionary page.

http://wl.widelands.org/wiki/TranslationDictionaryCzech/

It is empty - for now, but I'll go add translations as soon as possible. Promise. face-wink.png

Bye,

Meridius

Jepp that are the right translations (both) - the Barbarian "Förster" is named "Ranger", while the imperial and atlantean "Förster" are named "Forester". That translation is used in every place it occurs in all campaign, tribe, ... texts

Here's the Scottish Gaelic one, all finished: https://wl.widelands.org/wiki/TranslationDictionaryScottishGaelic/

Am I correct in assuming that the following changes have taken place since the template was last updated?

Peel -> Bread Paddle

Dock -> Shipyard

If so, I'll be happy to update the template, but I would like to confirm first. I'm new to the game ;)

Hi translators!

I have created the Hungarian Translation Dictionary page.

http://wl.widelands.org/wiki/TranslationDictionaryHungarian/

I wrote some words in it according to the official hungarian translation; however, it is far from complete... Some proposals concerning the hungarian translation can also be found in the Notes region (in hungarian, of course).

Bye,

Maclair

I noticed. Also, was 'Shipwright' changed to 'Shipyard'? .po and DictionaryTemplate don't seem to agree on this one.
