The installer link button doesn't point to the source and instead gives an error 404.

Thanks for reporting, I have updated the links. The compiler version used to build the AppImage was changed a while ago and this also caused the download link to be renamed. Now it should work again.

I think I was on a very similar page yesterday looking for an alternative, but just without those assets. Anyway, good option in case of similar situation, thanks.
